Nap Time

August 9th

You had a great day today!! It was your first full day of school. You went in at 7:45 and got out at 2:00pm. You were a little more open about what you did in school today. You went over the dash calander (I still don't know what that is!) You went over the days of the week again. And you said A stands for apple! You said you ate a cheeseburgar without a bun and rice. I have no idea what you really had! LOL!! When you got home you were actually a pretty good boy. You entertained yourself pretty well, took a bath all on your own and then went outside to play with Brandon. When it was time to come inside I went out to get you and found that you had jumped two fences and were over by the canal! You were in all KINDS of trouble for that. You and Brandon!! You guys could have been really hurt, if you would have fallen no one would have known you were there and they wouldn't have heard you cry. So you spent the rest of the night in your room. But you took your punishment pretty well. You applogized and hugged and kissed me good night. You understood how dangerous it was and promised not to do it again.

So overall it was a really good day for both of us........OHHHHHHH I forgot! You took a nap in school! On your towel! I forgot they did that in kindergarten. But they do so you will get a nap there every day. You might not have to take naps at home since you take them at school. We will see how tired you are and go from there. Today was really good so if that keeps up then I'll let the nap at home go. Ok honey that's it. I love you!!!

Your first few days of school!

I decided to make you a journal with little messages from me. About the things you do and don't do. One day I hope youll read this and see how much I love you and look back on the things you did when you were five! I'll post all about your birth on another day. But in this post I want to cover your first few days at school! I love you son and I hope one day you will enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.

August 4th 2005

Tommorow is your big day!! First day of school. Even though it's a half day I'm so excited for you. You don't know this now son, but tommorow is the first day of the rest of your school years!! It's a HUGE step in becoming the big boy you want to be. You will learn so much there, so much that mommy just can't teach you. You will even learn things that the teachers won't teach you. About getting along with others, how to socialize, and you will start learning all about little girls. You will probably learn that they have cooties!! All but mommy!!! You said something so cute to me the other day. We were talking about girls. And you said I don't like girls...they are yucky well except you mom! :) !!!!!

I want you to know I love you VERY much David. And I can't wait for you to start this next step of your life. I have been home with you for five years now. And now it's time for me to let go! So I'm letting go hon. I'm letting you go just a little bit as you start school. I have tremendous faith in you and know you will spread your wings and fly like the brillant eagle you are!

You started kindergarten today at 7:45 am. We all got you up at 6:45 and you were very excited about going. I got the camera out and took lots of pictures of you that day :) You posed for most of them and even grabbed the cat for one of them. Then we all got in the car and drove you to school at 7:45. I walked you to your class room and put a name tag on you. Then you reached up volentarily and gave me a big hug and kiss. Then you kept looking back at me and waving as you went over to sit on the carpet. I walked back to the car and cried a little bit. This was a big day for both of us. For you it was because it was your first day at school and for me it was because I was letting you go. You have been home with me for five years so it was wierd sending you off to somewhere new for the day. You had a good day though you didn't talk about it a lot. All I know for sure is...
1. You ate chicken and rice for lunch
2. You met a kid named kameamea
3. You liked it.
When you came home you were cranky!! So now you are going to take a nap every day after school so you will feel better being tired is not fun. So that's it for your first day at school. Here are the pictures of you we took that morning.

August 8th 2005

You went to school again today at 7:45 am to 11:15am. It was another orientation day with all the students in your class. You had a good day. Because you sat nicely on the carpet in the class room the teacher gave you a smiley face stamp to put on your hand :) You were really proud of that stamp saying how good you were. You ate a cheeseburgar and fries for lunch. And you even told me what you guys did today. You went over a few calanders and learned about the days of the week!! When you came home you were a little monster and spent almost all day in your room. First you cursed!! Then you wouldn't listen and after your nap you played a little bit. Then you disobeyed again and while in your room you decided to write your name on the wall!! So you spent the rest of the night in your room! Not a very good day! I'm hoping tommorow is better for you. I hope you are starting to learn your lesson about listening to us so that you can spend more time outside and less time in your room!

I love you David and hope you life gets better the older you get! I hope you know that your dad and I love you VERY much!!
